The town of Petaluma, CA embraces Halloween in a truly remarkable way. Preparations by local homeowners start weeks in advance and the local businesses take part in the festivities by offering the “Trick or Treat Trail.” Throughout the course of the evening ghouls and goblins of all shapes and sizes can be seen walking up and down the sidewalks of the historic neighborhood filling their coffers with treats and stumbling upon the occasional trick in the shape of a howling werewolf or monster adding lighthearted scares to the flavor of the evening.
